FPSC Advertised Education Department GB Jobs August 2026 Assistant Professor & Lecturer

Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has 36 positions of permanent Assistant Professor & Lecturers for the Education Department, Government of Gilgit-Baltistan. These positions include 1 position of Assistant Professor (Female) (BS-18) and 35 positions of Lecturers (Male & Female) (BS-17) of various subject disciplines with positions available at all locations of Gilgit-Baltistan. The position of Assistant Professor will have the minimum qualification of PhD, MPhil, or MA/MSc in the relevant subject with varying experience in teaching, while the positions of Lecturer will have the minimum requirement of Second Class Master's degree (16 years of education).

Eligibility Criteria Of Education Department GB Jobs

Assistant Professor (Female) (BS-18) – 01 Post

• Qualification (Any One):
• PhD Option: Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject from an HEC-recognized university plus 1 year post-qualification teaching and administrative experience at a College/University level .
• M.Phil Option: M.Phil. degree in the relevant subject plus 3 years post-qualification teaching and administrative experience .
• Master's Option: Second Class or Grade 'C' Master's degree in the relevant subject plus 5 years post-qualification teaching and administrative experience .
• Age Limit: 25-35 years plus 5 years general relaxation .
• Domicile/Quota: Gilgit Baltistan (Open Merit)

Lecturer (Male) (BS-17) – 29 Posts

• Qualification: Second Class or Grade 'C' Master's degree (16 years schooling) in the relevant subject from an HEC-recognized university .
• Categories (Subjects): Accounting & Finance (1), Botany (1), Chemistry (1), Computer Science - AI (1), Computer Science - Data Science (1), Computer Science - Software Engineering (1), Education (3), English (3), Islamiat (2), Mathematics (1), Pakistan Studies (2), Political Science (2), Physics (1), Sociology (2), Tourism & Hospitality Management (2), Urdu (4), Zoology (1) .
• Age Limit: 22-30 years plus 5 years general relaxation .
• Domicile/Quota: Gilgit Baltistan (Open Merit: 28, Minorities/Non-Muslims: 1) .

Lecturer (Female) (BS-17) – 06 Posts

• Qualification: Second Class or Grade 'C' Master's degree (16 years schooling) in the relevant subject from an HEC-recognized university .
• Categories (Subjects): Computer Science - AI (1), Computer Science - Data Science (1), Education (1), English (1), Psychology (1), Urdu (1) .
• Age Limit: 22-30 years plus 5 years general relaxation
• Domicile/Quota: Gilgit Baltistan (Open Merit)

• Go to the official FPSC website www.fpsc.gov.pk, choose the particular case number (F.4-124/2026-R for Assistant Professor & F.4-125/2026-R & F.4-126/2026-R for Lecturer), fill in the online form and make payment of the application fee using PSID before the last date.

Important Notes

• Eligibility criteria shall be considered as per FPSC guidelines and General Instructions.
