The Pixel 11 series has been teased yet again by Google ahead of the August 12 "Made by Google" event, and this time we get to see more of an interesting feature that has had many wondering: Pixel Glow.
Google Leans Into Its Own Ecosystem
Before diving straight into the nifty new feature of the hardware, the teaser first reminds the audience of just how far into their lives Google has already integrated its ecosystem. From Gmail to Google Maps, Google Search, Docs – these are the applications that people have been using on a regular basis already.
In essence, the underlying message of the video is quite straightforward – if people have been living within the ecosystem provided by Google already, the logical next step would be getting themselves a Pixel 11 Pro.
Pixel Glow Finally Gets Its Moment
Pixel Glow is, however, the main draw of this teaser since it was previously shown by Google in one of its teasers but this time it is given a full spotlight.
This is because the device comes with an RGB LED circular element located right on the back camera bar of the Pixel 11 Pro. This may not seem like much, but once this element lights up, it becomes obvious how noticeable it is.
What Might Pixel Glow Actually Do?
While it's not clear why Google has implemented Pixel Glow yet, from previous speculation, the feature is set to become an LED notification light. From what we can tell, this will enable users to know when there is a message, an incoming call, or another type of notification even when the phone has been placed on the table with its back facing upwards.
This means Pixel Glow will take the concept of older notifications LEDs on Android phones and bring it into the modern era of phones with a colorful and customizable approach.

It seems that Google is slowly unveiling all of the elements of this particular feature one by one. Considering that the official unveiling date of Pixel 11 is August 12, we are most likely to see several more teases before then, with more information about Pixel Glow and its inner workings.
